This app “Hot Phonics 4” is the fourth and final stage of learning short vowel sounds, a continuation of the apps “Hot Phonics 1”, “Hot Phonics 2” and “Hot Phonics 3”, which are available online. These apps introduce all 21 English vowel sounds and 24 consonant sounds.
“Hot Phonics 4” shows short vowel sounds ( a, e, i, o, u ) with a pair of consonant letters representing a single speech sound, as th in path and thin or ch in check and rich.
There are 112 words to practice. One can learn phonetic symbols and pronunciation of English words by simply watching this app. Once you understand the phonics, you’ll be able to read 80% of all English words.
The 7 minute-long movie motivates you to study and practice of saying the words aloud.
